This is an interesting presentation by the Flickr team on how (actually more the "why" than the "how") to achieve the best integration of developers and system operators. Simply put, "the team's job is to enable business".
This is quite a powerful statement if you think about it, and it does not matter if IT is your core business or not because nowadays every company relies on IT to grow and profit. "Agile" has been a Buzz word for IT teams for some time now, but more than that, it is also a business goal in many companies so it is not an overstatement when they write "the business requires" change, but change is the root of most outages".
